Many years ago, while I was first a student of this amazing work, I experienced a shift worth talking about. Our instructor, Dr. Harald Blomberg, a Swedish psychiatrist, asked if anyone would like to volunteer for "this next bit". I volunteered, not knowing what "this next bit" was going to be. He asked me to think of something that's been hard to overcome. Something that's been with me for a while. In fact, there was something (surprise, surprise). I'll let you in on it... I come from a large family where it was hard to be heard. So I grew up thinking that "no one listens to me" and, by extension, "what I have to say is not valid". Well, this will never do because I have helpful information to share. I thought this would be a good one to overcome, if that was even possible.
Dr. Blomberg had me lay on the table. He tested several reflexes. He found where the issue "lives". He then asked me to feel -really feeel - the feeling of not being heard, and conversely, really feel into a time or times when I was very listened to and validated. Then, using an isometric integration process, we pendulated back and forth between these two feelings until, lo and behold, the belief started to shift out of a calcified belief into a realm of a new belief that holds new possibilities for me.
Having a new belief is a profound experience. Beliefs are "things"! Here, it's as if we trade one thing for a better thing. Since, I have had the joy of helping many people release trauma from their nervous systems. Check out Jeff's video testimonial, and Viv's written testimonial. These are just two of many success stories.
If you have a trauma that's hanging around longer than you would like, let's do the work and see if we can move it through. It's possible. It just got stuck. Let's un-stick it, together.
